The story

Planmeca KaVo

Planmeca and KaVo Dental: Two powerful and internationally established brands in dentistry have joined forces as one family and look forward to an exciting and promising future together.
At IDS they position themselves as one for the first time by means of the slogan: ‘Stronger together’. In our visual design, we have strategically thought about how to make this merger stand out on the show floor with a design that leaves a lasting impression.



In the field of storytelling, our focus is on innovation and customer experience. We will blend the brands into the design, but the brands will retain their own identity with a unique character.
Where Planmeca focuses on software solutions, KaVo focuses more on tools for dentistry. We will highlight these product heroes in a striking area with plenty of space for demonstrations to trade fair visitors.



In the materialization, the identities of both brands were critically examined. For example, at Planmeca we go for Scandinavian (use of wood) geometric and transparent where the colors blue and pink come out strongly. And at KaVO we focus on innovation, technology with transparent materials and where stylish dark blue colors predominate. In this way we put both brands in their strength, but we merge it into a stylish whole that radiates strength. Both brands prioritize high-quality customer experience. You can see that in our design. There is plenty of room for meeting rooms (no fewer than 11) that were fully occupied during the fair.



Although we approach this customer as one, we have noticed that both brands have their own wishes.
What they have in common is the high quality, which resulted in a very high-quality finish for our stand builders. It’s nice when the customer sets the bar just as high as we do.
